C of C Sailing Update. Danmark Trophy, Women’s Single Handed Championships, and SAISA Women’s Fall Dinghy.

This weekend, the College of Charleston Sailing coed and women’s sailing teams will travel to the Danmark Trophy hosted by the U.S. Coast Guard Academy on Sept. 29-30 in New London, Conn., and the SAISA Women’s Singlehanded Championship and SAISA Women’s Fall Dinghy regattas hosted by Miami (Fla.) on Sept. 29 and Sept. 30 respectively.

The College of Charleston Women’s Sailing team has WON the SAISA Women’s Fall Dinghy Championships.

Congratulations Kayla Gibson (Houston, Texas), and Sarah Somes (Grosse Pointe Park, Mich.) sailing in A division, and Melany Johnson (Berwyn, Pa.), and Carly Shevitz (Santa Barbara, Calif.) sailing in B division.

At the Danmark Trophy hosted by the U.S. Coast Guard Academy in New London, Connecticut:Ben Spector and Ali Blumenthal sailing in A division, along with Mac Mace and Cory Decollibus sailing in B division, ended up finishing a respectable 5th in a tough crowd with tough conditions!
