Youth Learn to Sail

The College of Charleston Sailing Association is excited to offer Sailing Camps for children ages 8 to 14.

Our youth sailing camps are designed to teach your child the basic fundamentals and Youth 2015introduce them to the amazing sport of sailing.  The C of C sailing instructional staff will conduct teaching on the water aboard our brand new J/22 fixed keelboats.

The J/22 is a stable safe vessel and is a very responsive exciting boat to sail. As the campers develop their skills they may have the opportunity to advance to the Collegiate 420, which our nationally ranked varsity team sails and competes in.  At the C of C Sailing camp, your child will learn safety on the water, basic sailing principles, and proper boat handling skills. The staff and instructors are skilled and passionate sailors who will share their enthusiasm with all their students and will hope to encourage your child to pursue future camps and events here at C of C Sailing!

The cost is $475* per camper for the 5 day program. Each session will be capped at 18 participants, and each day will run from 9am to 5pm.

*Prices will go up 5% on March 1st and another 5% April 1st. Signups will close May 30th to accommodate waitlisted students.
